ネタは残念ながら？アブサンじゃなく、スイス発のエコロジーな飛行機のお話。
「ソーラーインパルス」
デビットさんのメールを拝借してご紹介すると。。。
In July, Solar Impulse, a 64 meter wingspan aircraft, successfully completed the first 24 hours day and night manned solar energy flight in history.
Solar Impulse, which does not use any fossil energy and is meant to be a message to encourage the world to use and develop renewable energies flew up to 8500 meters in the skies of Western Switzerland.
During the night it came down to 1500 meters where less energy is required to stay in the air, and the following morning, more than 26 hours after taking off, it landed safely at the Payerne military airport.
When it touched ground, its solar powered batteries had more energy stoked than when it took of. Quite a feat!
CosmoWorld followed the event with David Zoppetti acting as a reporter for a documentary which is scheduled to be aired:

今年７月、ソーラー・インパルスという、翼幅が６４メートルもある飛行機が、世界初の太陽光エネルギーによる２４時間連続有人飛行に成功しました。
化石燃料を一切使わないこの飛行機は、再生可能エネルギーの可能性と開発の必要性を世界に訴えようと、スイス西部の上空８５００メートルまで上昇しました。
夜間飛行に突入すると、より少ないエネルギーで飛べる１５００メートルまで高度を落とし、離陸してから２６時間以上経った翌朝、ホーム・ベースのパイェルン飛行場に無事着陸しました。
地上に戻った時、太陽光で充電されるバッテリーには、離陸した際を上回るエネルギーがまだ残っていました。前代未聞の偉業というべきでしょう。
弊社はこのプロジェクトを長年追い、デビット・ゾペティがリポーターを務めて参りました。この特集の放送予定は下記の通りです。
