ストロナーキー12年（43度、700ml） Stronachie
デュワー・ラッティ社がリリースするハイランド・モルトの１２年物で、1928年に閉鎖された同名の蒸溜所にちなんだもの。円やかだが、引き締まった、ドライかつ微かにヒースのキャラクターを伴う風味を呈する。佳酒。中身は、ベンリネス。
香り：魅力的、麦芽のよう（緑の麦芽）。乾燥したワラビに甘いフルーツとナッツの香り。
味 ：良い、しっかりしたアタック：トーストしたナッツ、麦芽。しかし十分なトフィの甘さが興味深いものにしている。
後味：中庸な長さ、ペカン、フルーツ。
Stronachie is distilled at Benrinnes, owned by Diageo. It's bottled by Dewar Rattray which appears to be a subsidiary of Tim Morrison Fine Wines, a wholesale wine and whisky merchant.

1900年頃アレグザンダー＆マクドナルドが設立。1907年にはボーネスのJ.カルダーが買収するも、1920年頃マクドナルド，グルーンリース＆ウィリアムスが吸収合併する。1925年、マクドナルド・グルーンリースに再編成。1926年、ＤＣＬが買収、蒸溜所はセント・ジェイムズ・エクスポートに移管。1928年に閉鎖・解体。
□Stronachie – The Lost Distillery
The obliteration is total, only the name remains. So ends the story of Stronachie, one of the legendary names in the annals of vanished distilleries. It rose out of the wildness in the 1890's its impressive building was set in a desolate glen on the Perth-Kinross border. A.Dewar Ratty, established in 1868 as blenders, bottlers, and warehousemen, represented the Stronachie Distillery in the West of Scotland in the late 19th Century. The whisky, a Single Highland Malt, has a rounded firm dry character with a hint of heather.
STRONACHIE, FORGANDENNY, PARTHSHIRE, NO068085. Built c.1900 by Alexsander & Macdonald, acquired by J.Calder & Co Ltd, Bo'ness, by 1907. Taken over by MacDonald, Greenlees & Williams Ltd about 1920, whitch was recognazed 1925 as MacDonald Greenlees Ltd and acquired by DCL 1926. Distillery transferred to the St James Export Co Ltd; Closed 1928 and subsequently dismantled.
