本来なら今年はスコットランドへ行くサイクルにありました
しかしながら、日記でご案内のとおり髄膜腫を患い、そのまま遠い海外へ行く
にはリスクがあります
そこで、今回はあえて手術療養を決め スコットランドアイラ島にいる
クリスティーンへその旨手紙を書きました
以下、返事全文です

Poor you having all this health trouble, I do hope that you recover soon!
A trip to Scotland would do you good and I hope your recovery will be quick and you will have the ‘all clear’ from this blip. Surgery is the best thing and gives you a good peace of mind and now I wish you a good and relaxing recovery time.
What fabulous news and many congratulations on you’re earning ‘Ambassador of the year’ award! Something you will always be able to display in recognition of your success! Absolutely fantastic and I wish your bar continued success!
Everything is good here with lots of changes for you to catch up on so haste ye back!!!!
